The Company
Alimentos SAS S.A. is a company
located in Bogota, Colombia, with 28 years in the processed
food market in Colombia, with National coverage in all its
lines, which mainly include fruit by-products, such as pulp,
individually frozen fruits (whole and sliced) and juices. The
company was founded in 1981 and has defined its mission as
providing the customer excellent quality food and benefits
working along with the producers and merchants in the
development of an efficient, profitable system and with a high
conception of service and loyalty.
Through time the company has consistently
maintained a philosophy of quality and offers a high add value
to our clients through the identification of additional
benefits, commitment and integrity in the service, which has
allowed us to obtain a clear positioning on the local market
and to successfully penetrate the external market.
The current market attended by SAS essentially
includes the majority of self service chains, supermarkets and
institutional clients (fast food markets, hotels, restaurants,
educational and medical institutions), counting on a base of
more than 500 active clients. There also exists an increasing
export market of tropical fruit pulps in their natural
concentration.
The offices and the production plant are
located in the Industrial Zone of “Puente Aranda” in Bogota,
in an area of 1,200 m2, with a capacity to process around 450
tons of fruit per month. The SAS collaboration team is made up
of 80 people, who take care of the production,
commercialization, administrative processes and planning of
the company.
